Editorial responsibility
TorontoPoker.org content is published under the TorontoPoker.org Editorial Team. The site distinguishes factual local-data work from general poker education and applies stricter verification requirements to claims that can change.
What the editorial team does
- Checks poker-room facts against first-party venue/operator sources.
- Checks Ontario online-poker regulatory status against iGaming Ontario.
- Dates time-sensitive claims instead of presenting them as timeless facts.
- Separates historical tournament coverage from verified upcoming/recurring events.
- Maintains correction and source-methodology standards independent of affiliate relationships.
Editorial principles
Specificity over hype. We would rather say a room publishes $1/$3 NLHE than call it “the best game.”
Evidence over inference. A business listing is not licensing evidence; a game menu is not a live seat report.
Utility over volume. The site is designed around room records, regional decision paths, tools and learning systems instead of mass-producing thin poker articles.
